July 5th is the deadline!
Mountain Bike Nevada (MTBNV) is an 11 day benefit mt. bike ride across Nevada promoted and organized by World of Wonder Adventures, Inc. in cooperation with Nevada Public Education Foundation and the American Discovery Trail (Nevada section).
$100 of each full paid rider's fee is donated on their behalf to the Nevada Public Education Foundation. We encourage you(but you are not required) to solicit donations from friends, family, co-workers, businesses or other entities interested in supporting your noble attempt to cross Nevada on a mt bike in just 11 days of riding. This CROSSING OF NEVADA FOR NEVADA (and her schools, students and teachers) symbolizes the rugged individualistic spirit, goodwill towards thy neighbor and wild west camaraderie that built NEVADA.
Be prepared to be inspired, but also...be prepared!
MTBNV is a fully supported and guided mt bike adventure crossing central Nevada from the CA/NV stateline at Crystal Bay, NV and pedaling east crossing 14 mountain ranges, climbing over 39,000' elevation gain and over 530 miles(88% off road)to the NV/UT stateline at Border, NV. MTBNV is non-competitive and self paced. MTBNV strives to be educational and is proud to present an awe-inspiring and unique adventure visiting some of the continental United States most remote and islolated public lands, national forests and state parks...on a mt. bike! The route closely follows the American Discovery Trail, a coast to coast off road trail, and this year's route has been especially modified to be mt bike friendly. MTBNV is currently under review for a special use permit by the BLM and USFS. In the event that MTBNV is not permitted, the event may be postponed. Nevada State Parks is our camping sponsor and host at 4 state parks and will be monitoring our event for all agencies concerned. MTBNV has a minimum number of participants required to be possible to run in 2013. July 5, 2013 is the deadline for meeting this minimum number requirement. In the event that MTBNV does not meet the minimum number requirement and is postponed, all paid fees will be credited towards MTBNV the next year. MTBNV and World of Wonder Adventures, Inc reserves the right to cancel, change, delete or modify the itinerary, camp sites, accommodations, route, website, printed material, images, video, any information, all content, inclusions, exclusions and the rate.
